The archive system from Mediaform

In conjunction with the form data-capture solution ScanTools from Mediaform, ArchiMedis offers the ideal link between automatic data capture and simultaneous archiving of all incoming order documentation for each individual patient/case.

In addition, ArchiMedis features an independent Scan-Client that enables ArchiMedis 8.0 to be operated as an independent document management system. In conjunction with this Scan-Client, any number of documents can be scanned, indexed and electronically archived.

Identification and Archiving

Apart from being automatically indexed using an order barcode, any documents can be manually supplemented with headwords. Not only physical documents which have been scanned, but printed forms (finding, private invoices, Word documents etc.) can also be converted to Tiff files from printing data (PCL files).

 

The print image which is created is stored as an image under an order number or any given index data in ArchiMedis. The final result is that all documents from the input and output of any given case are available in the network.

The path from theory to practice is sometimes a very long one. But not with ArchiMedis. With the following example we would like to highlight what document capture using the ArchiMedis system could look like in a medium-sized laboratory can easily amount to 250.000 separate documents in a single year.
