Interface to laboratory and archive systems

ScanTools will only become an attractive solution for your purposes when the interface to your existing IT infrastructure can be established. As a logical consequence, the automatically captured data are therefore prepared in the Communications Server, so that in a subsequent step they can be fed into a document management system (ArchiMedis) and/or the laboratory information system (LIS).

The image and order data generated from the processed forms are transferred to another system via with the Communications Server Module. To transfer the data, ScanTools writes them to a transaction file. Content, layout and format of these transaction files can vary and orient themselves to the destination system.

The Communications Server supports the file-transfer formats LDT and HL7 as standard. In addition, the most varied range of customer-specific file-transfer formats has also already been implemented. Furthermore, the processed order-data and image information can be forwarded to an archiving system. The Communications Server supports the image-transfer formats TIFF and GIF as standard. For data transfer, the Communications Server can export order-specific data to various destination systems (e.g. separation of FA and LG).

However, special solutions often demand special interface and Mediaform has therefore developed a number of customised interfaces in recent years. We also wish to accommodate your requirements in the future and with your help develop a customised solution for your purposes. 

The Communications Server Module also takes care of the regular import of master data (e.g. requirements, doctors, patient data) from the laboratory information system, while the Maintenance Module takes over the tasks of data maintenance in the ScanTools system on the basis of SQL scripts.
