ScanTools has been specially developed for the health sector for the capture of a wide range of form types and as a result of its modular structure can be perfectly adapted to the numbers of forms which your company has to deal with.

ScanTools 8 facilities automatic sorting in terms of marking priorities (CITO) and thereby ensures immediate forwarding of selected orders to the Laboratory Information System - LIS.

 Virtual "Bad Box"

Implausible order forms are forwarded to a digital repeat-processing box in order to carry out any necessary clarification and refining processes or to transmit those forms directly to a dedicated workplace.

 Recall of form data which have already been exported

In conjunction with the new Communication Server Module, form data which have already been exported can be returned to the correction centre in order to be re-processed and corrected,

 E-Mail-Function

With the convenient E-Mail Function, scanned documents can be send back and forth in the internal and external laboratory networks in order to facilitate fast processing of queries without first having to forward the respective original referral slips.

 Connection to external laboratory locations

Connection to external laboratory locations to the central ScanTools form capture system ensures efficient communication with external form scanners which are linked to the central laboratory via ISDN or internet connection.

 Colour processing

The choice is yours: Black-and-white scan for capturing standardised referral slips or colour scans for original capture of coloured documents for digital archiving.

 Wizard Modul

The Wizard Modul supports the user in central system administration, the compliation of new forms, the definition of address labels and database maintenance.

 Ergonomic user interfaces

With refined user guidance, ScanTools 8 offers optimum operational convenience for fast and clearly laid out form capture.

ScanTools guarantess you fast processing of various form types and formats, with both the fronts and backs of forms being analysed and evaluated. After being scanned, each form is stored as a digital image and can be archived using the ArchiMedis archiving system.
