During the statutory period of warranty, some manufacturers offer guarantees, the scope of which goes beyond and is independent of statutory provisions. Such extended guarantees are often offered precisely in the case of high-quality products such as document scanners and label printers or card printers. As a rule, the conditions of such extended guarantees are a great deal more favourable than those associated with statutory warranties. As a result, all defects specified in the guarantee conditions which arise during the guarantee period are remedied, independent of the date of occurrence of those defects and of any regulation governing burden of proof customary for statutory warranty conditions.

In order to be able to represent your interests vis-à-vis the manufacturer, we require a written order. Please use our RMA Form for this. Please be sure to always return goods carriage paid. Unfortunately we are not able to accept goods sent unfranked and these are therefore returned directly to the sender.
What does guarantee mean?
The guarantee regulates the rights and claims of the purchaser for defective goods supplied by the seller. The guarantee signifies that the goods specified in the contract of sale must be free of defects at the time of transfer to the purchaser. The statutory guarantee rights on the new goods sold by us covers a period of 24 months from the time of delivery. For used articles, for example from our bargain offers, the guarantee period is 12 months. In all cases, the guarantee period begins with the date of delivery.
Please note that after a period of six months has expired, the burden of proof for defects is with the purchaser, i.e. the purchaser must prove that the alleged goods defect was already in existence at the time of transfer to the purchaser. Precisely in the case of back-up hardware, which is frequently put into use only after expiry of that period of six months, the assertion of a claim on a manufacturer's guarantee is less bureaucratic. Following the receipt of returned defective goods and their checking by our service technicians, a repair or exchange is usually carried out. Please understand that we are not able to defray the cost of returning your goods.
Loss of guarantee – please note:
All guarantees are invalidated in the case of mechanical damage such as breaks, cracks, dents, scratches or excess-voltage damage if such damage occurs after the guaranteed goods have been received by the purchaser.

Only undertake the integration of built-in components yourself if you are sure that you are fully capable of such. Any one of the defects described above inevitably results in the invalidation of the guarantee.
Consumers have the right to revoke their declaration of contract in writing (e.g. by letter, fax or e-mail) within two weeks without having to give reasons for doing so or – if the respective product is received prior to the expiry of that period – by returning the product. The two-week period of grace begins with receipt of this instruction in writing, but not before receipt of the goods by the recipient (in the case of delivery of similar goods, not before receipt of the first partial delivery) and also not before the meeting of our information obligations within the meaning of § 312c Par. 2 of the German Civil Code in conjunction with § 1 Par. 1, 2 and 4 of the German Civil Code InfoV and our obligations according to § 312e Par. 1 Clause 1 of the German Civil Code in conjunction with § 3 the German Civil Code InfoV. To comply with the cancellation deadline, the date of posting or transmission of the cancellation notice or return shipping of the goods shall be definitive.

In the case of a valid cancellation, all associated contractual performances received by either party must be returned. If you are not able to return our performance in whole or in part or only in a deteriorated condition, you must provide compensation in terms of value for the deficiency. Obligations to reimburse payments must be met within 30 days.
For you, the period of grace during which you can cancel the contract begins with the sending of your notice of cancellation or the date of your shipping of the returned goods, and for us with the receipt of such notice or returned goods. There is generally no right of cancellation for CDs, DVDs, CD-ROMs, software, software licences and videos if the user has broken the respective seal, and also not for products which have been manufactured to client specifications, for example PC systems made up to client requirements.
