The software features a modular structure and is specially optimised for the automatic capture and interpretation of writing, address labels, markings and barcodes. In any versione, ScanTools offers maximum functional scope at a processing speed which can be customised to the individual requirements of the client.
ScanTools without the data correction module (the Verify Module) is used for the fast capture and recognition of form content and the transmission of plausible raw data to the laboratory information system. All input forms are digitalised in the Scan Module using high-performance scanners, then indexed and optimised for further processing.
The Interpreter Module processes the digitalised forms. Here, form content, such as typewritten text, markings and address labels are interpreted. Following extensive plausibility controls, the recognised raw data are forwarded via the Communications Server directly to the laboratory information system and the linked archiving system.
ScanTools in conjunction with the data correction module (the Verify Module) is used not only for the fast capture and recognition of form content, but also for convenient data correction and the forwarding of completely clean data to the laboratory information system. The first two processing steps are the same as those used by ScanTools without the correction module, but the recognised raw information is forwarded to the Verify Module following extensive plausibility controls.
The concluding visual check, correction and subsequent capture of order data are performed in the Verify Module using the superimposed digital image. Following validation, data are forwarded via the Communications Server to the laboratory information system and the linked archiving system.
ScanTools with data correction (Verify Module) and order capture is used for the complete capture of your orders, including manual analysis selection from the analysis index. With this configuration, the concluding visual check and correction, as well as subsequent capture of order data, is carried out in the Verify Module using the superimposed digital image.
At the same time, order capture provides convenient access to your master data. This means that additional analyses from your analysis index can be directly selected and added to an order. Finally, data are forwarded via the Communications Server to the laboratory information system and the linked archiving system.
