„Mobile Healthcare“ in a nutshell: Mediaform will present itself on Stand C-102 in Hall 1.2 at the largest European industry meeting for healthcare IT, the DMEA 2023 in Berlin. In addition to solutions for mobile data acquisition and a broad selection of needs-based labels tailored for the healthcare industry, the MediScan healthcare app comes into particular focus: A medication process to administer liquid active ingredients in syringes is an essential part of daily work in a hospital or intensive care ward. Using the MediScan app now makes this process far easier and, above all, much safer. In addition to scanning a data matrix code on the patient’s wristband, unique patient identification it is now also possible by using an MDA (mobile data acquisition device) to read the chip of a patient’s RFID wristband (NFC = Near Field Communication).
As part of a complete range of solutions, visitors to the trade fair can also find out about suitable printing solutions at Mediaform’s stand. The robust healthcare and wristband printers are specially designed for use in clinics, hospitals and laboratories. Of course, just like the MDAs and scanners on display, they also meet the special requirements of medical facilities.
To implement the FMD Directive (Falsified Medicines Directive) that is already in force, Mediaform also presents different versions of suitable barcode scanners in already preconfigured to securely read complex 1D and 2D barcodes. These high-performance, ergonomic, hygienically designed TTP (Thermal Transfer Printer) and Eco models also contribute to an optimised identification process, and are perfectly tailored to meet the healthcare industry's special requirements, e.g. in terms of disinfectant resistance and user-friendliness.
As usual, Mediaform will also focus not least on its almost unique range of products and services in the labelling field. The trade fair stand will feature an outstanding selection of microscope slide and cryo labels that can be used in demanding applications, at extremely low temperatures or even in staining solutions. For safe, secure patient identification, there is also a comprehensive spectrum of patient wristbands available in both conventional and RFID versions.
