Amendment of expectant mother's care record labels

The amended Guidelines established by the German Federal Committee of SHI Physicians and Sickness Funds on Medical Care during Pregnancy and after Childbirth came into force on 1 January 2022.

The so-called “Maternity Guideline” prescribes that, from this date, perinatal care can be documented either in paper form in the tried-and-tested expectant mother's care record or, at the insured person’s request, also digitally in the patient’s electronic file.

But entirely regardless of which format is preferred: the expectant mother's care record must be adapted with respect to its information content from 1 January 2022 onwards. This is because in future, among other things, the unborn child’s Rhesus Factor D (RhD) must be additionally documented there, in addition to influenza vaccination and whooping cough (pertussis) vaccinations.

This can lead to changes in the layout of expectant mother's care record labels and in the printing software. As a long-standing, reliable partner of the healthcare sector, Mediaform supports you in the design of the new label’s layout, and in individual procurement planning.

Therefore, please contact your specialist adviser at an early date to discuss and agree the layout and your entirely personal requirements. This will enable us to ensure that your labels are available to you just-in-time, and no supply bottlenecks occur.

We look forward to continuing cooperation.
