SITEX optimises processes with a custom-fit identification labelling solution from Mediaform

The SITEX Group, the largest association of medium-sized, owner-managed textile service providers, has relied on a perfectly coordinated identification labelling solution from Mediaform since the end of 2022. At seven out of nine locations, this innovative solution ensures that the high demands of full-service textile processing are met at all times.

SITEX supplies around 2,000 customers in the healthcare and elderly care sectors, nursing homes, industry and retail. Around 350 tonnes of laundry and workwear are hygienically processed every day. The introduction of Mediaform’s identification labelling solution is a further step towards efficiency and quality assurance in the SITEX Group’s extensive range of services.

A customised solution for full-service textile processing

Management and users are very satisfied with the new solution, which includes high-performance SQUIX 4.3/200 thermal transfer printers from cab. These are designed for industrial use, and prove to be extremely reliable even in harsh working environments. The printers are easy and intuitive to operate via the built-in LED touch display, which is particularly advantageous in hectic work situations. The new label printers enable individual printing with all important data for production and the vehicle fleet. This completely eliminates manual labelling, thus significantly reducing the error rate, and improves the legibility of the information.

Thermo Top roll-form labels, made from a tear-resistant, moisture-proof material and printed on demand using direct thermal printing, are another component of the new solution. These labels are particularly resistant to mechanical and chemical influences, which minimises wear and reduces operating costs. They can also be removed without leaving any residue, which makes it easier to clean the mesh boxes, trolleys and tension belts.

The implementation of Mediaform's tailor-made labelling solution marks a significant step forward for the SITEX Group. By using high-performance thermal transfer printers and robust Thermo Top roll labels, SITEX not only improved the reliability and legibility of its labelling, but also minimised the error rate and reduced operating costs.
