Mobile Healthcare in a nutshell

Mediaform presents solutions for mobile data acquisition and hospital logistics on Stand A 17 in Hall 2. The spotlight will be on one new development in particular: Mediscan. This modularly structured app supports medical staff in maintaining a secure medication process and thus contributes significantly to increasing patient safety.

The medication process to administer liquid active ingredients in syringes is an essential part of daily work in a hospital or intensive care unit. As well as scanning a data matrix code on the patient’s wristband, it is now also possible to uniquely identify the patient by reading the chip of an RFID patient wristband (NFC = Near Field Communication) via MDA (Mobile Data Acquisition).The process is now considerably easier and above all safer with Mediaform’s MediScan app, because this now provides medical staff with supportive modules that build on one another in the app for the individual sub-areas of the medication process.

As a further highlight, Mediaform will present its comprehensive portfolio of user-friendly MDA devices at the DMEA (Digital Medical Expertise & Applications) under the motto „Mobile Healthcare“. The range for mobile data acquisition includes various handhelds and tablets from renowned manufacturers, which optimise the process and make it safer, from order picking to patient identification in clinics and doctor’s practices.

As part of a complete range of solutions, visitors to the trade fair can also find out about suitable printing solutions from Mediaform. The robust stationary and mobile label printers are designed specifically for use in hospitals and laboratories. Naturally, just like the MDAs and scanners on display, they meet the special requirements of medical facilities.
